Nicolas Cage Arrested in New Orleans For Domestc Dispute

Actor and Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage was arrested last night in New Orleans.  According to police Cage had a disagreement with his wife Alice as to the exact address of the apartment they were renting in the French Quarter in New Orleans.

At one point Cage grabbed his wife by the arm in order to continue to the proper apartment according to police, there where no visible signs of injury on either person.  Becoming more frustrated the actor began to hit parked cars and later attempted to get into a taxi to avoid police.  When asked to get out of the taxi Cage began yelling at the police daring the them to arrest him.  As requested Cage got arrested and taken to police station for the evening.  The address he was going to stay for the night had been decided for him at this point.

The actor has been booked on charges of domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.  He was released from the Orleans Parish Prison on Saturday as a judge set bail at $11,000.  He is due back in court on may 31st.

Cage 47, was in New Orleans to film a movie and is a frequent visitor to New Orleans where he has owned property and made many films in the past.  A spokesperson for Mr. Cage has not commented on the incident.
