Michelle Williams earned 99pc less than Mark Wahlberg for film reshoot

  • All the pay disparity in the world Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg reshot scenes featuring Kevin Spacey back in November after replacing the disgraced actor with Christopher Plummer

USA Today reported Tuesday that Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million to reshoot his scenes, while Williams received a per diem of $80 per day, totaling less than $1,000. But Michelle, no. Me, no. The Transformers actor received $1.5m for his time for the reshoots, while Williams was given less than $1,000. Mark, apparently, yes-unbeknownst to Michelle.

"We're looking into it", said a source at the actors union, who noted that the guild's contract only covers minimums that actors can be paid.

The widely-reported gender pay gap may not be a problem isolated to Hollywood - far from it - but when big-time actors and actresses are getting paid such huge bucks, it certainly becomes more blatant and tangible.

The report also states that Wahlberg's team managed to negotiate a substantial fee for his involvement in the reshoot, while Williams (who's represented by the same agency, William Morris Endeavour) simply wasn't told about the deal. Christopher Plummer was chosen as Spacey's replacement, resulting in reshoots of certain scenes. "They all came in for free".

Michelle previously told USA Today that she appreciated Ridley recasting Kevin Spacey's part and making a "massive effort" to reconfigure the film in light of the allegations.

Filmmaker Judd Apatow called the news "almost hard to believe", but added that he wondered "if the studio or Wahlberg will do something to make the situation less insane". "While they were aware that they needed to remove Kevin Spacey, they clearly weren't thinking the big picture of 'if we remove him and then people become aware that we're paying another person less, what are they going to think about that?'" she said.

Trump Administration Ends Temporary Immigration Status For 200000 Salvadorans
She says that El Salvador has received significant global aid and that much of the country's infrastructure is rebuilt. In El Salvador's case, that was a devastating series of earthquakes prior to its designation in 2001.

This would contradict director Ridley Scott's remarks to USA Today in December that "everyone did it for nothing".

The impressive cinematic feat of Ridley Scott's "All the Money in the World" has been undercut yet again by reports that Mark Wahlberg earned a whole lot more money than his costar Michelle Williams during reshoots of the film.

Prior to Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, Williams, 37, was on vacation with Youmans and her 12-year-old daughter, Matilda Ledger. "Actors pay a team of agents, managers and lawyers an average of 10% of their salaries to advocate for them".

All the Money in the World follows the 1973 kidnapping John Paul Getty III, grandson of billionaire and oil tycoon John Paul Getty (Plummer).

Wahlberg was named the highest-paid actor of 2017 by Forbes in August, with his pre-tax and pre-fee earnings coming in at $68 million.
