  • Global terrorist, but a free man in Pakistan: 5 things to know about Hafiz Saeed

"I am the greatest supporter of LeT and I know they [LeT and JuD] are fond of me", he said. "Time has come to start finding ways of talking with Pakistan and finding a solution which will be in the interest of people of Pakistan, India, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh", Abdullah said, adding the people were paying the price for the rift between the two countries. Perhaps Musharraf sees an opportunity to cosy up to the outfit he once banned as president in January 2002, after the LeT and JeM were implicated in the attack on India's Parliament in late 2001.

Former Pakistani President and military ruler Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday said that he likes the Mumbai attacks mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed and is the "biggest supporter" of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Lashkar-e-Taiba are involved in Kashmir but in Kashmir it is between us and India.

The JuD is believed to be the front organisation for the banned LeT which is responsible for carrying out the Mumbai terror attack in 2008. "They are the biggest force (LeT), India got them declared as terrorist by partnering with the U.S.". "I have always been in favour of action in Kashmir, and I've always been in their favour, that in Kashmir we must pressure the Indian Army and this (LeT) is the biggest force".

The US has also branded Saeed a terrorist and put a $10 million bounty on Saeed's head after the 2008 Mumbai terror attack.

UCLA to name Kelly coach
Chip Kelly has reached an agreement with UCLA to be the Bruins new football coach, according to Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times .

His release was met with global outcry, with the United States warning Pakistan of repercussions if he's not immediately re-arrested.

Saeed was designated a terrorist by the United Nations and the United States. "I'm sorry if the ex-President of Pakistan thinks the LeT was going to protect Islam".

The former president has earlier too sided with Saeed, who was released from house arrest on November 25 after Islamabad failed to submit any proof against him.

The LeT co-founder was recently released from house arrest after a Pakistan court ordered his release a few days ago. Pervez Musharraf came in a coup in Pakistan in 1999 and said that he was ready to face all charges as the courts are not under Nawaz Sharif's control anymore.
