  • EXCLUSIVE: 'Everything The President Wants To Do, McMaster Opposes,' Former NSC Official Says

Colonel Derek Harvey, who McMaster dismissed in July, was, according to Mark Levin's Conservative Review, "involved in President Trump's efforts to rid the National Security Council of Obama holdovers, who were suspected of leaking national security secrets to the press".

Mattis, McMaster and other top aides are putting together answers to Trump's questions in a way to try to get him to approve the strategy, the officials said. "Conservative Review reports that from ".interviews with several current and former members of President Trump's inner circle, a profile of McMaster has emerged as a man fiercely opposed to strengthening the USA alliance with the Jewish state".

"McMaster basically has this list and over the next two weeks he's going to phase out" more senior officials loyal to Trump, an unnamed source told the conservative Free Beacon. "General McMaster is confident that Ezra will make many further significant contributions to national security in another position in the administration". However, for those who have consecrated themselves to the priestly rites of Donald Trump's cult of personality, McMaster's staffing changes constitute nothing short of blasphemy.

In a volley of attacks from right-wing media, McMaster has been accused of being anti-Israel, having a short temper and collaborating with Obama-era officials.

"He is a good man and very pro-Israel".

The president says, "I am grateful for the work he continues to do serving our country".

Prince Philip to retire after final official engagement
She said: "As he carries out his final public engagement , I thank The Duke of Edinburgh for a remarkable lifetime of service". He became Captain General of the infantry force in 1953, following the death of the Queen's father George VI.

Mr. Trump first issued the statement to the New York Times in a story reporting that critics on the right were angered by McMaster's move to push out several conservative staff members on the national security team who had been brought on by Michael Flynn, McMaster's predecessor.

"He has determined that, at this time, a different set of experiences is best-suited to carrying that work forward", a statement released by the White House said of Cohen-Watnick's release. The president's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, also gave his vote of confidence to McMaster, calling him "a true public servant and a tremendous asset for the president and the administration".

McMaster stepped in to replace Flynn after he was ousted in February following reports that he mislead White House officials on his past conversations with Kremlin officials.

In classified briefings, Trump would frequently flit between subjects.

Cohen-Watnick's removal comes after the revelation by The Atlantic on Wednesday of the dismissal of Rich Higgins, another Iran hawk who was the NSC's director of strategic planning.

A day after news of Cohen-Watnick's dismal broke, the Daily Caller ran an "exclusive" that cited unnamed former senior NSC officials who claimed, "Everything the president wants to do, McMaster opposes".
