Taylor Swift appeared in a Denver courtroom on Tuesday, August 8, to face a former radio deejay she accused of groping her during a 2013 photo op at a pre-concert meet and greet in Denver, Colorado.
According to Swift, Mueller slipped his hand under her dress and grabbed her bare buttocks as the two posed, along with Mueller's girlfriend, during a meet-and-greet session before a June 2013 concert in Denver.
Mueller testified that he drew that conclusion because Swift didn't welcome him into the photograph and paid more attention to his girlfriend at the time. In 2015 he sued Swift, her mother Andrea Swift and her radio promotions director Frank Bell, alleging that they pressured KYGO to terminate him and that he lost his job because of the false accusation. She frequently made eye contact with Mueller and occasionally looked frustrated with his statements, shaking her head in disbelief.
Swift's business manager, Jesse Schaudies Jr., said her side did not want the picture in the news. She reports it and she gets sued.it doesn't make sense. "Any woman-rich, poor, famous or not-is entitled to have that not happen".
Swift's countersuit argues that the case will "serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts". The trial is expected to last about nine days.
Swift's lawyers called the photo taken at the event "damning" proof that Mueller groped her. At the time, Mueller was a host for the 98.5 KYGO-FM morning show.

Baldridge also suggested that Mueller had rendered himself unemployable by publicizing the incident with Swift. Baldridge asked, "Do you consider a sexual assault to be something that you would describe as silly?"
Mueller says he did not grope Taylor Swift while they were taking a picture before the show and she cost him his job when her team claimed he assaulted the superstar. Yesterday, Mueller's lawyer said that the former DJ "is here to clear his name and he unequivocally denies he touched her inappropriately in any way".
Mueller acknowledges that all of these things were said in prior depositions.
In turn, Swift is also suing for a monetary amount - but it is far less than what the former DJ is asking. She says she is only seeking $1.
Before the trial opened at the Alfred A. Arraj Courthouse in downtown Denver, about 20 people lined up for a chance to sit in the courtroom, including a long-haired local heavy-metal guitarist wearing a Dokken T-shirt and a visiting 10-year-old Swift fan with her father. Mueller has said he saved the recordings on a variety of laptops, phones and backup drives, all of which he irreparably damaged before they could become evidence. Call said that as they talked, Mueller was inconsistent with his details about what had happened during the Red Tour meet-and-greet-and his change in story was part of the reason why he was sacked.
When court resumed about two hours after the scheduled start, the judge did not elaborate on exactly what the hearing was about, though he indicated it did concern some evidence.
