  • Ethiopia's Muktar Edris finds the answer to beating Mo Farah

The four-time Olympic champion hit out having been asked about Salazar after winning 5,000 metres silver at the World Championships in London on Saturday.

2012 world youth champion Edris, 23, produced a strong charge on the final stretch to lift his first ever major senior world title in 13:32.79, leaving two-time Olympic 5,000 titlist and newly crowned 10,000m victor Farah, 34, to the second place in 13:33.22.

But he was beaming again on Sunday morning, back in his tracksuit and clambering outside a London Eye capsule on top of the 135m high wheel.

Sir Mo Farah couldn't follow up his 10,000m efforts after he was tested by Ethiopia's Muktar Edris.

He said in a trackside interview: 'I gave 110 per cent. The better man won. "I did the Mobot out of respect as well for him".

'I want you to write the truth about what's out there and educate people out there.

After his skyline view of the capital, Sir Mo then greeted his waxwork from Madame Tussauds in London with a "What up Mo!", before posing for selfies with his double.

In the end, it was a tremendous race as Edris, Farah, Paul Kipkemoi Chelimo and Yomif Kejelcha separated themselves from the field on the back straight of an exhilarating final lap.

"Mo has many victories but now I have one", Edris said. The fact is I've achieved what I have from hard work and dedication.

His mum though was the parent that Farah - who had to live with his aunt Kinsi when they settled in England - felt closest to, a similarity he shares with Bolt who also described himself as a "mummy's boy".

And they took aim at America's Kenyan-born bronze medallist Richard Chelimo for making Farah's trademark "Mobot" gesture and then running his hand across his throat as the 5,000m runners lined up before their race.

"My two failed attempts at 1.99m woke me up", she said. I've got races in Birmingham and Zurich but it doesn't really matter. It's not an excuse, but it took a lot more out of me than I realised.

"The aim is gold. we have some great competitors in the back ready to come out here and produce", said Washington, her prediction coming true in the final. A new world -- like when I went to Disneyland.
