  • Catherine Zeta Jones as actress Olivia de Havilland in FX's

The Gone with the Wind actress is not happy with being depicted as a "gossip". In a complaint filed at L.A. County Superior Court on Friday, the legendary actress claims she has built a reputation of "integrity, honesty, generosity, self-sacrifice and dignity" by refusing to engaged in "typical Hollywood gossip" - but that Feud's opening, which features Zeta-Jones doing an interview as de Havilland creates the impression that she sold gossip to promote herself.

The series' de Havilland also provides details into how a long-simmering antagonism between Davis and Crawford erupted into a full-on feud during the making of the 1962 film "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"

Catherine Zeta-Jones plays de Havilland in the show, serving as commentator on the two main actresses throughout the eight-episode series. The show depicted a young de Havilland to explain aspects of the dispute throughout the series. She also shows up at the 1963 Oscars as a supporter of Davis' and makes numerous remarks about the nature of Hollywood and being an actress in the dirty business of show business.

"A living celebrity has the right to protect her name and identity from unauthorized, false, commercial exploitation under both common law and the specific "right to publicity" statute in California", Smith said, asserting that, "FX was wrong to ignore Miss de Havilland and proceed without her permission for its own profit".

Here's an idea for the next season of Feud - Olivia de Havilland vs. Feud.

Murphy, meanwhile, told THR that he never contacted de Havilland because he didn't want to intrude. "This interview itself and the statements attributed to Olivia De Havilland are contrary to her public and private image and reputation and have caused her economic, reputational, and emotional damages, including distress, anxiety, and humiliation".

Later in her career, de Havilland appeared in the 1964 drama "Hush..."
