Google revamps search engine with bespoke homepage

  • Google Google Feed Google Feed news stream Google news stream Google feed personal news What is Google Feed Google Feed feature Google news

It is trying to release this feed internationally in the next two weeks. A small number of users is apparently seeing both, meaning their build of the Google app contains four tabs in total, though screenshots proving that claim have yet to surface online. Google says it will take into account your interest level, feeding your obsessions more frequently than your passing fancies.

Additionally, when users search for a topic, the new update will allow them to "follow" subjects in order for regular updates to appear on their feed.

While the feed isn't a shift in business model for the web giant, it does signal a turning point in how the largest web giants are continuing to compete for users' attention. Yes, it is true Google to change its homepage after 21 years. It will also be integrating its fact checking feature from Google News "when available".

Users can unfollow any topics they don't want to see in their feed, similar to how Facebook does it, according to Tech Crunch.

Google's new AI-powered feed aims to personalize the web
This button will allow you to selectively follow certain movies or TV shows, sports teams, musical artists, celebrities, and more. The Google feed (lowercase?) instead looks at what's popular around your town and the world, tying you closer to your community.

Since introducing the feed in December, we've advanced our machine learning algorithms to better anticipate what's interesting and important to you. So if you are a foodie, typing a quick search like, "food festivals in Delhi" will get you a listing of the best options in an easy-to-review format. For that, you'll need to check if you have the updated card design, as well as feed customization settings.

Google, the world's largest search engine, said the changes would begin rolling out in the USA yesterday and other countries soon.

Simply put, Google relies almost entirely on ads, with nearly 97% of total revenue coming from digital and display paid advertisements, purchased by over a million businesses.

In the face of this stark difference, Google feed offers users the ability to read through a range of different perspectives and opinions and develop their own instead of relying on their network to form an opinion. The original report uses quotes and images from Google's July 19th blog post about news feed upgrades, but Google's post was only speaking about the mobile site and apps.
