Flight attendants and passengers tried to subdue him, and at one point, another passenger who was trying to overpower him was repeatedly punched in the face and hit with a wine bottle.

An attendant aboard Delta Air Lines Flight 129 from Seattle to Beijing resorted to smashing a large bottle of red wine over a passenger's head after the man became violent during the flight.

When he came out again two minutes later, he suddenly lunged for the plane exit door, grabbed the handle and tried to open it, Ms Highley wrote.

As the struggle continued, a flight attendant grabbed two wine bottles and hit Hudek over the head with each - breaking at least one of them, Highley wrote.

He "did not seem impacted by the breaking of a full-liter red wine bottle over his head", the Federal Bureau of Investigation complaint states. One of the passengers on the flight was 23-year-old Joseph Daniel Hudek IV, who had a first-class ticket thanks to his mother, who works for Delta.

July 07-A Beijing-bound flight from Seattle had to turn back Thursday night after a Florida man allegedly attacked a flight attendant, authorities said. So, naturally, Hudek finds a bottle of wine and slams it against a passenger's head.

He was arrested Thursday night after causing the disturbance that forced the plane to return to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, authorities said.

Nuclear weapons ban is an antidote to cynical brinkmanship
In October 2016, the UN General Assembly voted to negotiate and conclude a treaty prohibiting nuclear weapons. Friday's vote was 122 countries in favour with the Netherlands opposed and Singapore abstaining.

Hudek was able to push the emergency release lever on the door about halfway, and several passengers said they feared for their lives, according to the statement. He remained "extremely combative" all the way back to Seattle and needed to be restrained by multiple passengers until the Delta flight landed, according to the complaint.

He was arrested on the tarmac on Thursday and has appeared in court charged with interfering with a flight crew, which carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a £195,000 fine.

In this incident, three people were injured aboard Delta flight 129, and this included two passengers and one crew member, informed the people present there. The passenger was restrained onboard and was removed from the flight by law enforcement without further incident when the aircraft arrived back in Seattle.

There were conflicting reports soon after the incident.

Airport officials who have corresponded with the FBI told the press that the Bureau has not labeled the altercation as a national security threat. CNN has reached out to the North American Aerospace Defense Command to get clarification on the discrepancy.

The FBI Seattle field office maintains a regular presence at the airport and assisted in interviewing passengers from the flight, Dietrich-Williams said.
