Nintendo has shunned the traditional conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo for years now, and this year will be no different.

We're climbing back up the Nintendo Treehouse this year, which will give us a closer look at the games Nintendo have in-store. The Japanese gaming firm will be hosting a live stream to show off upcoming Switch games, treehouse events and tournaments. The 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational will be held on June 13th, where four pre-qualified teams from Europe, the US, Japan and Australia and New Zealand will compete in the first-ever worldwide Splatoon 2 competition.

Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational will begin on June 13, which will compose of four pre-qualified teams from the U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. During the most recent Nintendo Direct, a whole variety of games were both revealed and given official release dates.

It seems that releasing a game physically for the Nintendo Switch is a pricey affair. It also plans to livestream its festivities so those not in attendance can watch what its plans are for 2017. The Nintendo Switch launched this year and already, it has doubled Nvidia's Tegra revenue compared to the same period of time last year.

Nintendo's E3 2017 schedule. As Nintendo sells more Switch consoles, it needs to have an ample number of games available that will keep owners playing its hardware.

Thanks to its nature as a console-handheld hybrid, the Nintendo Switch feels a bit more like a system of the future than its biggest competitors, even if its not quite as powerful under the hood. What do you hope will be announced?
