Cosmos DB launches Microsoft Azure databases at Oracle

Microsoft now has a new app for Android out, called Azure, and this is an app that will go with the cloud computing program that is known as Azure.

"MySQL and PostgreSQL databases are popular choices amongst open source developers to build and deploy applications be it - Web, mobile, content management system (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), business, or analytical applications", Microsoft data exec Rohan Kumar said in a blog post.

With the introduction of its Cortana Skills Kit, Microsoft is making it possible for outside developers to bring their services to Windows 10 as well as the company's Skype for Business video conferencing app and Bing search engine.

Azure Cosmos DB: A new service aimed at global enterprises, this one is touted as a globally distributed, multi-model database service that boasts 99 percent uptime with a handful of consistency options.

The Microsoft Build annual developer conference kicked off with a shift in the company from cloud and mobile to serverless computing and edge computing. To create these five consistency levels, and build numerous capabilities within Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft integrated distributed systems and database research with world-class engineering rigor. At that time, the company refers to the Azure DocumentDB as the next big leap in the evolution of DocumentDB, the TechCrunch reported.

One of the more significant additional capabilities added into the Azure mix is the Azure Cloud Shell for the Azure Portal, the dashboard for managing applications running on Azure.

Azure SQL Database is getting general availability of Threat Detection, a preview of Microsoft Graph support, and a new Managed Instance private preview. Not all of these were Oracle customers. A major part of this will be involve using more data collected and collated from businesses and users, with their permission, in Microsoft Graph, an data tool and application programming interface (API) that allows native and third-party applications to make queries against data across integrated Office 365 applications, cloud services. and devices.
